  • Continue flower maintenance. (Deadheading, fertilization and weeding as necessary)
  • Apply post-emergent to control weeds as necessary.
  • Complete installation of spring flowering bulbs.
  • Install balled and burlapped trees and shrubs.
  • Complete cutting back perennials.

January

  • Prune deciduous summer flowering shrubs.
  • Begin to cut back Liriope
  • Begin cutting Ornamental Grasses.
  • Prune Trees as needed.
  • Continue leaf removal from shrub beds and turf areas.
  • Continue flower maintenance. (Deadheading, fertilization and weeding as necessary) Apply slow release fertilizer to fescue lawns as needed.
  • Apply post-emergent to control weeds as necessary.
  • Install Balled and Burlapped trees and shrubs.
  • Install bare root material.
  • Prune fruit trees.

February

  • Complete cutting back Liriope and Ornamental Grasses
  • Begin Pruning Crape Myrtles.
  • Complete pruning of deciduous summer flower shrubs.
  • Complete leaf removal from shrub beds and turf area. Continue flower maintenance. (Deadheading, fertilization and weeding as necessary)
  • Cut back Roses as needed. Apply pre-emergent to turf and planting beds. (Control of Spring Weeds)
  • Apply post-emergent to control weeds as necessary.
  • Install Balled and Burlapped trees and shrubs.
  • Install new mulch in shrub beds.
  • Install bare root material.

March

  • Complete Crape Myrtle Pruning.
  • Heavy pruning of overgrown plant material.
  • Lower cutting heights of warm season grasses.
  • Continue flower maintenance. (Deadheading, fertilization and weeding as necessary)
  • Begin inspection for insect and disease of shrubs, trees and turf areas. (Treat as necessary)
  • Apply pre-emergent to turf and planting beds. (Control of Spring Weeds)
  • Apply post-emergent to control weeds as necessary.
  • Fertilize trees, shrub and groundcovers.
  • Install Balled and Burlapped trees and shrubs.
  • Install new mulch in shrub beds.
  • Begin installation of new perennial plantings.

April

  • Begin weekly mowing, edging and trimming of lawns.
  • Begin pruning shrubs as needed.
  • Prune early spring flowering shrubs after blooming complete.
  • Inspect trees, shrubs and turf areas for insects and disease.(Treat as necessary)
  • Spring start up and maintenance of Irrigation systems.
  • Apply pre-emergent to turf and planting beds. (Control of Summer Weeds)
  • Apply post-emergent to control weeds as necessary.
  • Fertilize spring flowering bulbs after blooms fade. Fertilize azaleas and camellias after blooming.
  • Apply fertilizer to warm season turf.
  • Begin seasonal color installation. (After April 15th Weather Permitting)
  • Install summer flowering bulbs.
  • Install perennials.

May

  • Continue seasonal color installation.
  • Install summer flowering bulbs.
  • Hydroseed lovegrass and warm season grasses.

June

  • Apply post-emergent to control weeds as necessary.
  • Apply slow release fertilizer to warm season turf.
  • Check and adjust irrigation system.

September

October

  • Inspect trees, shrubs and turf for insect and disease.( Treat as necessary)
  • Begin flower maintenance. (Deadheading, fertilization and weeding as necessary)
  • Begin leaf removal
  • Apply post-emergent to control weeds as necessary.
  • Complete aerating, over seeding and fertilizing fescue lawns.
  • Fertilize trees and shrubs with a balanced fertilizer.
  • Apply pre-emergent to warm season turf. (Control fall and winter weeds)
  • Continue installation of fall color.
  • Start transplanting shrubs.
  • Divide perennials such as hosta and daylilies.

November

  • Mow, trim and edge lawn areas as needed.
  • Continue leaf removal.
  • Begin shut down and winterization of irrigation systems.
  • Continue flower maintenance. (Deadheading, fertilization and weeding as necessary)
  • Apply post-emergent to control weeds as necessary.
  • Apply slow release fertilizer to fescue lawns.
  • Complete installation of fall color.
  • Install spring flowering bulbs.
  • Fall digging season begins. Install balled and burlapped trees and shrubs.
  • Cut back perennials after 1st frost dieback.
